The classic little black dress. It never gets old, does it? When in doubt, wear a black dress. You really can’t go wrong. This dress in particular will be a great addition to my closet this fall. I can dress it up for a classy event or wear it down with booties to work. Did I mention that it’s currently on sale at Nordstrom? That’s all the more reason to add it to your rotation.

While wearing this dress, I started thinking about the initials LBD. These letters are typically used to describe a piece of clothing. But what if they stood for something else? What if you associated LBD with the words, Live Believe Dream? 

What if we could approach each day like an LBD? What does that mean, exactly? Let me break it down for you.

Live – each day to it’s fullest. Try not to let those boring daily tasks rob you of the joy that each day can bring. God wants you to make the most of your time here on earth. “Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them” – 1 John 4:16

Believe – in the path that God has set before you. Sometimes our day-to-day struggles take their toll on us… To the point where we look up and say, “Is this really what you were thinking when you made me?” But God knows where He is sending you. He reminds you of this truth all day. He has placed it on your heart, so believe in it. Believe in Him. “I trust in God’s unfailing love for ever and ever.” – Psalm 52:8.

Dream – about the future. Anything can happen when we let God take control. So, go ahead and spend the day dreaming about what He has in store for you. Let it excite you! His future work in you is something to dream about. “With God all things are possible.” – Matthew 19:26.

I pray today that you will have an LBD outlook on life and that you will take comfort knowing that He is working for you. And while you’re at it, I hope you find that perfect LBD to wear, too.
